Suspect recaptured after jail escape near Frederick

Nightengale Dies In I-70 Car Crash Near Beaver Creek
A Rocky Ridge woman 49, Carol Sue Nightengale of 14109 Old Frederick Road, was killed Tuesday afternoon in a single car crash on I-70 near Beaver Creek Road Washington County Maryland State Police said. Her Buick eastbound ran off the road hit a guardrail became airborne struck a light pole overturned several times and landed upright. Nightengale was thrown from the car and pronounced dead at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown. Police indicate she may have fallen asleep at the wheel.
