Limpy Cleaver Captured After Wild Melrose Park Shootout
Chicago reports Limpy Cleaver, linked to a $133,000 Grand Trunk gang, and fellow escapee Joseph Farina were wounded and arrested in Melrose Park after a police and federal agent manhunt. They hid in a barricade and exchanged fire with five squads, ending a nationwide search launched after last Sundays jail escape. The arrests followed a tip, and authorities recovered a machine gun, shotguns, and pistols at the stronghold. Both captives were badly wounded and undergoing examination.
