Frederick City Police promote three officers under Mayor Young
Frederick Mayor Ronald N Young and the board of aldermen approved the promotions of three Frederick City Police Department members at last night’s meeting. Lt Barbara Domer becomes the first woman to reach the highest rank, with Sgt Shankle and Sgt Nolte also promoted. The process included a three-part exam and ranking, followed by mayoral promotion and aldermanic confirmation. Salary increases of 15 percent for Domer and Nolte and 10 percent for Shankle accompany the promotions, with a July cost of living raise for the entire force.
