Great Bathtub Race Disrupts Day in Culler Lake
On a Saturday at Culler Lake thousands watched as 23 bathtubs and crews took part in the annual Great Bathtub Race sponsored by Sunrise Becton Club of Frederick and 2104. Yolanda Murphy of the Shamrock Majorettes had the day’s first and only partial run, drifting a few yards from the start despite bystander aid. The event, captured by Sam Yu, drew a large crowd to the lakefront.
