Smithsburg farmer dies in Leitersburg crash at Md 60 and 62
A 57-year-old Smithsburg area man, Hugh W. Bowman, died Friday after noon when his tractor ran a stop sign and collided with a tractor-trailer driven by Donald L. Snyder. Bowman died of a crushed chest at 12:30 p.m. at the scene. The accident at Md 60 and Md 62 was investigated by Trooper John E. Snyder. no charges were filed.
