A housewife could scan the nursery yard or other rooms while chores are done using a compact television camera shown at a recent Institute of Radio Engineers convention. The camera plugs into a standard receiver and can switch from off air to closed circuit, enabling clear pictures from low light. It may monitor children, visitors at the door, or neighborhoods from the living room, raising questions about privacy and practical use.
