Exxon tanks spared vaults in Maryland site plan vote
Frederick County Planning Commission on Wednesday granted conditional approval to Exxon for razing a building at the Md 27 and Mill Bottom Road site and constructing a new convenience store. The panel removed a requirement to vault underground storage tanks, noting current ordinances and distance from a wellhead reserve area. The decision kept Wellhead Protection Ordinance compliance and approved nearby commercial development plans including a Men’s Warehouse at Riverview Plaza.
