Tragedy Near Sandy Hook Leaves Two Men Dead
Two men ages 20 and 21, Phillip Charles Bricken and Michael Charles Caputo, were struck and killed by a westbound Mare train near 18900 Sandy Hook Road in Sandy Hook while on or beside their inner tubes. The crash, about 6:50 pm, occurred as residents watched a quiet line cross the Potomac river town, investigators said the exact state of the men’s position remains under review and autopsies to be conducted in Baltimore.
