County Advances More for Relic Aid for 49 Families

The County Commission has allocated about £800 in June to the Fred Cery Welfare Board for direct relief to unemployables or the unemployed. A check for more than £1,009 from the state was approved as the final relief disbursement for the year ending March 31. Officials anticipate changes in distribution as regular reimbursements are expected from the state. Direct relief funds are limited to families certified as eligible for unemployment benefits. Administrative costs, potentially 20 to 29 percent, may be funded from relief disbursements, with future costs depending on state rulings.
