Burn victim goes home after recovery from attack
Twelve year old David Goont left New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center smiling as he heads to Jamaica Hospital for rehabilitation and physical therapy after a deliberate fire set by an 18 year old. He survived burns over 55 percent of his body and praised doctors, nurses, and God. He plans to return to school and undergo reconstructive surgery and counseling in the coming weeks.
