James H Henry Grove 89, vice president of M J Grove Lime Co and active in local Democratic politics, died Friday June 8 at Homewood Retirement Center Frederick. He lived at 107 W Second St Kre denek and was husband of Virginia Harley Grove. Born May 12 1901 in Frederick County to James H and Anna Foresight Grove he was a longtime member of St John the Evangelist Church Elks Kiwanis Cotillion Fish and Game Club Camp Kanawha Terrapin Club. A 1919 Frederick Boys High School graduate he earned a 1923 degree from Georgetown University and retired in 1965 as vice president of M J Grove Lime Co He also presided over Western Maryland Trust Co and helped with its merger with Maryland National Bank. He worked with the Maryland Port Authority and chaired the Metropolitan Sanitary Commission precedent to its successor.
