CBS TV grants aid to five writers five to be chosen soon
CBS TV announces a nationwide competition awarding five writing grants of 5999 each for the coming year. Recipients will work with a CBS TV network producer on a year long project, with freedom to move to other outlets if CBS rejects the work. The program aims to improve overall writing quality for television and expand opportunities for both established and unpublished writers.

Fragmented OCR roulette of names and odds in 1940s style studio guide
A garbled OCR page lists scattered names, shows, and time stamps across sports, weather, and news sections. Entities include Steve Canior Jimmie Rodgers Wratt Earp and Gerry Moore, with stray figures like 46.31 and 7.7. The text resembles a broadcaster slate mixing programs, guests, and results with many unreadable fragments.
