Collision at Market Street causes injuries and wrecks
Two men were treated and two automobiles wrecked in a gasoline-pistol collision at the intersection of South and Market Streets about 5:50 Friday afternoon. State police charged both drivers with reckless driving. Magistrate Wag Stouter heard the case with testimony from Sergt. D R Peterson. Witnesses described a northbound approach and a sudden turn, with one car striking another and a telephone post, injuring a passenger who was taken to the Pred hospital. Damages and settlement talks followed in court.
