City man arrested on drug charges in Frederick County

Deputy S Blundell arrested Herbert Andrew Conlon 18 of Selwyn Drive and a 17-year-old at a Bartgis Court cul de sac. A wooden pipe and drug paraphernalia were found in the van. Conlon was charged with possession of controlled dangerous substances and paraphernalia and released on his own recognizance. The juvenile was turned over to his parents.

Rescue of Capt O Grady ends six day ordeal over Bosnia

Adm William Owens said a multinational force rescued Capt O Grady after his fighter was shot down by a Serb surface to air missile. He hid in trees for six days, then was hoisted aboard a CH 53 helicopter near the Adriatic coast and rushed to safety aboard the USS Kearsarge. Col Martin Berndt recalled the moment and noted O Grady was very hungry after days without food. The operation involved Cobra helicopters Harriers and radar planes along with other support craft.
