Cyclist killed in crash near Ladiesburg
A motorcycle rider died at the scene and a passenger was hospitalized after a collision with a pickup on Maryland Route 194 south of Ladiesburg. Paul William Anders III, 19, of Smithsburg died. Deputy Edward Lookingbill Dies After Woods Accident
Deputy first class Edward A Lookingbill of Frederick County Sheriff’s Office died at Frederick Memorial Hospital from head injuries after a tree branch fell on him while cutting firewood near the Frederick Municipal Watershed. The 53 year old Myersville resident had been on security duties at the Frederick County Courthouse and never regained consciousness following the incident.
