Woman Bitten By An Odd Bug
West South street residents observed a strange six legged insect described as a crocodile like bug after a 10 year old boy captured it on his porch. The grandmother was bitten while trying to free the child’s hold on the creature. The insect, about an inch and a half long with a cockroach like body and a crocodile head, could not be identified by neighbors or News-Post staff. The Bruchey family keeps the captive while experts attempt to classify it and determine its diet after the grandmother was nipped on the finger and the child fed it grass despite signs it may be carnivorous.
