Mause to Be Burgess by Mutual Consent in Myersville
John D Meuse will continue as burgess of Myersville by mutual consent until the next election in May 1536. At a recent balloting Mause and Columbus Haupt finished dead even with 18 votes each. Attempts to untangle the stalemate failed as the town charter prevents another election for two years. Mause offered to resign but Haupt declined the job, leaving the issue settled until 1936.
