Quick thinking earns MC man state award
Germantown resident Steve Vincent recalled a near tragedy on August 9, 1989, when a 23-foot cruiser collided with his boat at Camp Letts. He saved four children, rescued a trapped man and child, and received the Governor's Boating Safety Award during Safe Boating Week. Now an architectural student at the University of Maryland, he urges defensive boating and carries lasting memories of the incident.
