Frederick County secretary convicted of theft from employer
Kristing Ashburn of Waynesboro Pennsylvania was found guilty on forgery and seven theft charges after a two day jury trial in Frederick County Circuit Court. Prosecutors said she forged boss checks and diverted company funds between June and September last year while employed at Linn & Associates in Frederick. Sentencing was deferred for a background check.

Vogel, 43, faces hearings on charges of third degree sex offense and two counts of child abuse linked to incidents at Piney Branch and Glenallan schools. Alfred Allnutt Higgins Jr, 42, was convicted of second and third degree sexual offenses for abusing an eight year old girl in his care. A five year suspended term places him on five years probation, with a 10 year concurrent term for the second offense.
