Finals at Walkersville High School Graduation
Thirty two Walkersville High School seniors heard Dr David W Zimmerman assistant state superintendent urge vigilance as the price of freedom at graduation in the high school auditorium. He urged firm stance on problems and warned against middle of the road thinking amid a recalled ceremony with the Glee Club and local officials presenting diplomas.

Magistrate’s Court Delivers Ruling After Late Witness Testimony
Magistrate Edward Storm reopened the session to hear Thelma Ferguson’s testimony in the assault case against Roger Bowens, a 25 year old on West All Saints street. Bowens was found guilty of assault and sentenced to a $50 fine and 60 days in jail after the witness denied knowing details of the incident. Another case for Bruce Young Remsburg, 48, of Braddock Heights, involved a speeding charge on Mary street.
