Road plan urged for Slate Quarry stretch near Thurston
Charles L. White of Thurston Road requests Frederick County Commissioners back the paving of a one mile Slate Quarry Road segment from Thurston Road to Comus Road. He cites slow state road building compared to New York Indiana Ohio and Kansas City Missouri, and notes traffic delays affecting Hyattstown Fire Department and ambulances. White argues improved access would draw home buyers and tourists, support local tax revenue, and ease cross-county travel for residents and emergency services.
