Amertronic Inc plans a July 1 start in a new Frederick plant at 414 Pine Avenue to manufacture electronic devices. A Hagerstown motorist, Michael Furey, forfeited 130 dollars in collateral after failing to stop following a property damage crash near Jug Bridge. Two Juveniles Recommitted After Eyler's Valley Church Damage
Two 18 year old juveniles from northern Frederick County admitted entering Eyler's Valley church on May 19 and destroying most contents. Judge Patrick M. Schnauffer recommitted them to the Maryland Training School for Boys. Trooper Kenneth D. Bond said they overturned the stove and organ, smashed windows, toppled pews and scattered songbooks. The church near Thurmont, built in 1859, hosts an annual reunion. Other juvenile cases included a 16 year old warned for threatening a neighbor with a semi auto rifle and a 14 year old who stole chickens, the latter placed with his parents and probation officer. A separate city accident report noted over $50 damage to two cars at North Bend and West Fourth streets. Maryland extension and Korea return notices followed.
