Warfield Dead In Auto Near Cooksville
Former State Senator Joshua N. Warfield 65 of Howard county was found dead in his car on Route 97 four miles north of Cooksville. State Police say he died of a heart attack. Trooper Hammersmith noted the car left the highway but was not damaged. Warfield was found hanging from a window. He led the Eureka Maryland Assurance Corporation and lived near Daisy, Howard County.

New Center Being Built In One Day
Gaithersburg June 4 Montgomery county farmers and skilled workers began work at dawn on the county new cooperative agricultural center. By 7 30 a m ten buildings to house livestock exhibits and offices and a lake were taking shape. The project except for a recreation building is to be completed by nightfall. Women arrived early to set up food booths in the first building to be covered. Arrangements were being made to feed as many as 10 000 persons during the day. County Agent Q W Anderson said the recreation building will not be built today since steel for it had not arrived and masonry work is too complicated to finish in one day.
