Interest rate uncertainty stalls market
New York stocks closed mixed as investors weighed a possible rate hike by the Federal Reserve. The Dow fell 18.4 to 10,577.9 while the S&P 500 rose 0.55 to 1,294.81 and Nasdaq gained 20.39 to 2,432.42 after Greenspan speech.
