Fatal 1 270 crash Causes major Frederick gridlock
A fatal accident on 1 270 near the Monocacy River Bridge early today closed southbound lanes for over three hours, crippling morning traffic out of Frederick. Two additional crashes on US 15 Rosemont Avenue and Md 355 Urbana Park worsened the jam as deputies reported gridlock on every major road.

Hood College honors alumnae at reunion weekend
Hood College celebrated Reunion Weekend May 28 to 31 with three outstanding alumnae honored including Donis Reininger DeHart of Richmond Virginia, a 1948 graduate, who received the Distinguished Graduate Award for significant professional and volunteer contributions to society.
