Mount Saint Marys College removed a sign for the Knott Athletic Recreation Convocation Complex after not obtaining formal State Highway Department permission. Cindy Powell, director of public relations, said the college sought guidance, followed what an SHD contact advised, and later learned the information was in error. Committee to report possible site for facility to Mrs Griffen
The committee plans to submit a report on a proposed site to Mrs. Griffen by fall, likely September. The Damascus High School cafeteria hosted the senior nutrition center for at least a year before relocating to St Pauls to handle rising demand and more programs. The county paratransit bus system serves weekday lunch and recreation programs at low cost. A photo in Tuesday's edition misidentified three East Frederick Elementary PTA award recipients: Steve Martin, Marilyn Ayres, and Ron Johnston.
