Auxiliary installs new Ladies Auxiliary officers at post

The Ladies Auxiliary to Veterans of Foreign Wars John A. Webb Post 3285 held installation on May 20. New 1985 96 officers include President Betty Bardowski and Senior Vice President Edna Eisler. Reports highlighted a Martinsburg VA Center visit, Montevue residents honored with birthday cards, and donations to the Frederick World War II Memorial and Easter Seal Society. Next meeting set for June 10.

Samaritan Rebekah Lodge Holds May Meeting at IOOF Hall

Samaritan Rebekah Lodge No. 51 met May 24 at the John R. Rubeck Lodge Hall in the Maryland Odd Fellows Home. Mrs. Eleanor Clark presided as noble grand. The charter was draped for Mrs. Margaret C. Wachter, who died May 21. Members appointed on the Resolutions Committee, reports on the sick list, and fund-raising plans for the Maryland Odd Fellows Home and three special projects were announced.
