Nikirk to Direct YMCA Day Camp Grove This Summer

Frederick County educator F. Martin Nikirk will direct the YMCA Day Camp Grove at Breezy Grove Park from June 19 to August. He brings extensive scouting and camping leadership, Red Cross CPR instruction, and YMCA work history to the role while pursuing higher education admin studies at the University of Maryland. The camp operates at the M. J. Grove Lime Co. recreation facility.

Frederick NARFE installs new officers in Urbana meeting

About 160 members of Frederick Chapter 409 NARFE attended the May 19 meeting at Urbana Fire Hall. State President Herbert Bowen installed officers led by Rod Frederickson as president and Oliver Keefer detailing the Circuit Breaker Tax Benefits.

Shrine Circus Returns to Hagerstown June 19 with 5 Ring Big Top

Annual event resumes at Sand and Seine with two shows featuring animals from across the region. Temple sponsors provide admission for children with advance tickets available through local contacts.
