Railroads Ready For Job Of Hauling Wounded To Hospitals
The railroads are marshalled for transporting invasion casualties from the front to hospitals at home. Special hospital trains with expert attendants will move wounded from invasion coast ports to England hospitals or U S Army hospital ships, with New York Charleston Boston and Hampton Roads major debarkation points. A three to six week delay after D Day is expected before casualties start moving nationwide.
