Allied forces from Chinese and American units attacked the Japanese base at Myitkyina in North Burma on three sides advancing up to 1,500 yards from the northwest and 400 yards to the south. Beer spill on Eas South street after truck side gives way
In a hot June morning incident twenty cases of beer fell from a truck owned by James Hahn and operated by Norman Stine on Eas South street. About 200 cases were in the load with roughly 500 bottles shattered and seventy-five more rolling off unbroken. Officer investigation by Bell and Potts noted the truck was en route from Cumberland to Shipley Bottling Works with the remainder of the beer.
