Heflin Talks of Millions in Campaign Spending

Washington May 31 Senator Heflin of Alabama warned the Senate investigating committee of personal action if it failed to probe campaign funding. The committee disclosed $653 756 spent so far for fourteen candidates, led by Hoover at $348 342.61 and Smith at $100 808.52.
