Bandits Rob Gas Station Near Frederick
Two armed bandits wearing nylon stockings robbed Green's Esso Station on U.S. 40 east of Frederick at 2:40 a.m. They forced three customers into the trunk of a car and pistol whipped attendant James Spurlock, who was treated for cuts and ribs. A deputy sheriff customer had a gun, and about $150, plus a pistol and a 12 gauge shotgun were stolen. White males about six feet tall.
