Farm Youths Return From Overseas Tour
Three Maryland 4 H dairy youths from Howard and Talbot counties visited England France and the Channel Islands for a month and a half. They placed second in the Royal Show at York with William Curry achieving the highest individual score and winning a medal from King George. The trip included dairy judging against teams from Ireland Scotland Australia and Wales. They observed small Jersey herds on Jersey Island and praised Guernsey and Ayrshire cattle as superior to Maryland stock.

It handles a 27,000-bird flock in about 20 minutes, uses a motor driven canvass belt, heated water, and gentle turning to scrub shells without bloom loss. The compact device fits on a grading table in the cellar for on-site cleaning during packing.
