Frederick couple earns National Wildlife Federation backyard habitat honor
Frederick residents Margaret Quynn Wallace and David Wallace have transformed their yard into a certified backyard wildlife habitat. The National Wildlife Federation notes that over 18,000 properties in the U.S. and Canada participate, with the couple maintaining bird baths, feeders, a fish pond, and a diverse plant mix to attract birds, butterflies, and other wildlife while supporting environmental health.
