City opens first police substation on Seventh Street
Maj. Ray Raffensberger Freder ick City Police chief Mayor James Grimes and two aldermen cut through a yellow crime ribbon Wednesday at 4 W Seventh St formally opening the first substation in the department history. The 13 000 square foot building purchased for 250 000 in March 1995 replaces prior short term offices and will house fourteen officers including bicycle patrol.
