Four Die In Chevy Chase Circle Crash
A 21 year old Germantown man and three companions died when their 1975 Pontiac hit a curb and tree at Chevy Chase Circle after leaving work at the Western Division Garage. Driver Harry Turner 27 of Manassas, and passengers Thomas Gonzales 21 of Gaithersburg, William Rowland Jr. 33 of Beltsville, and William Willis 55 of Arlington were killed. Investigators cite high speed and possible drowsy driving. The crash renews debate over the circle’s bordering trees.
