Porter's new duty to coordinate Congress information
Porter's new assignment will coordinate information for Congressional committees. In the OPA days he generated many clashes with lawmakers, and the presidential year will complicate his task. Record shows Bureau of Labor Statistics cost of living rises with CPI up 33 percent from two years ago and retail food prices at 214.2 percent of 1935-39 average as of June 15. Forfeiture notes list four drunk and peace disturbance cases, two traffic offenses, and birth of Cathy Larue to Middletown residents at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
