Walkersville Girls Send Pine Cone to Roundup
Walkersville Girl Scout Troup 1303 sent a pine cone to the 1965 Senior Roundup in Farragut Idaho. The cone, burned to yield flames of yellow green and red, traveled from Camp Shadowbrook in Conowingo where Walkersville scouts attended the All States Primitive Encampment last summer. Members represented the Girl Scout Council of Central Maryland at this “little roundup” and sent cones as friendship tokens to counselors and for council and troop fires.
