Benefits To Farmers Are To Continue
Washington July 22 A bipartisan Senate majority appears to back extending the long range farm program with benefit payments to farmers. Senator Brooks reports a deadlocked Senate House conference agreed to a 1945 crops continuation with a $150 million fund for payments and costs. The plan includes former committee and local costs and preserves the conservation and use program on a reduced basis, with payments dropping from 20 000 to 500.
