Squirrel Bites Boy in Baker Park Incident
An 11 year old Frederick boy, Michael L Taylor, was bitten on the right hand by a squirrel near a tree in Baker Park. The animal was taken to the Gas House Pike Animal Shelter for evaluation. A separate dog bite injured 23 year old Dwayne Windsor lip bite by a German Shepherd, dog quarantined for 10 days, victim treated and released.

Baltimore AP report says Maryland health secretary Dr Nerl Solomon states that by year end 1971 about one third of state mental hospital patients will be moved.
