The group planned a Hanover area project for a $300000 Calvary church and possibly a Hanover work site. They visited local sites and attended services at the Heights auditorium before returning.

London July 21 AP Bishop James Cannon Jr of the Methodist Episcopal Church South wed Mrs Helen Hawley McCallum widow of New York at Christ church Mayfair. The ceremony was intimate and kept quiet. the couple traveled from Madeira after the wedding. McCallum had served as Cannon’s secretary about a year.
