Captain Robert F Barrick says Maryland National Guard members can apply for four scholarships two from Johns Hopkins University and two from the University of Maryland. Applicants must be Maryland citizens with a full four year high school course good moral character and leadership evidence. Examinations Sept 9 at Hopkins and Sept 17 at Maryland. Applications due by July 24. Scholarships cover board room and incidentals leaving only fixed charges and books.

Wife seeks separation and alimony injunction in county court
Mrs Majory G Taylor files bill of complaint against Kenton H Taylor seeking separate maintenance and alimony. She claims marriage since August 26 1925 in Hancock Washington and that she owns household goods cut glass and silverware stored in H J D Hagan warehouse. She contends he plans to remove belongings with a moving van from Virginia and that she also owns a $1000 H and F Railroad bond and a 900 Apperson sedan bought with her funds. The petition asks bond and automobile be restored and for accounting and restraint on any disposal of property. Taylor may answer or seek dissolution after five days and must pay $40 monthly alimony unless shown cause. The complaint was filed July 15. The plaintiff is represented by R S Harp.

Morningstar dies from brain concussion in Washington
