Water Released From Little Seneca Lake In Drought Response
Officials in the Potomac River Basin ordered a 25 million gallon release from Little Seneca Lake on Thursday night to ease drought pressures. The move lowered the lake level by about six inches and drew questions from Upcounty Councilmember Nancy Dacek over late notice. At a meeting, Interstate Commission officials said current flows are stabilizing and there may be no immediate need for further releases.
