Frederick Creekside Park bid moves forward in Stage I plan
Frederick officials gained state Water Resources approval to put the Market Place section of Carroll Creek flood control project out to bid. The park stretch from South Court to East of South Market will feature earth fill, landscaping, stone columns, and a fountain pumping system. Bid release is expected early next week with an August 12 deadline and construction could start late August or September, weather permitting, with opening possible for the In the Street festival in October.

START treaty agreement sets stage for Moscow summit
