Kettler proposal rejected again by zoning examiner
Montgomery County Zoning Examiner Philip Tierney recommended deferring Kettler Brothers 21.5 acre Montgomery Village plan to allow another revision. The proposal aims to remove a junior high designation and transfer density for 80 homes at Appleridge Road and Montgomery Village Avenue. The plan would worsen active recreation space shortages, with much open space serving as buffer for private housing and not accessible for recreation. Tierney notes abandoning the school asset to private housing harms compatibility and warns the amendment remains short of a perfect 10.
