Four men robbed a Denver and Rio Grande Narrow Gauge train near Sargents west of Marshall Pass, forcing the engineer to stop at gunpoint. Passengers lined up along the track were relieved of money and valuables while the robbers roamed cars and searched travelers. Dozens of posses pursued the bandits toward Chester, 250 miles west of Denver, as the chase began the day after the robbery.
Norfolk, Va July 15 The presentation of a sword to Major L Waller of the Marine Corps by the citizens of Norfolk was held in the Academy of Music last night. Major Ridick introduced Alfred P Thom who gave the presentation speech and Major Waller replied. Admiral Cotton and others stood on the stage as several hundred people attended.
