Frederick County finished the fifth driest 12 month period on record according to Doug LeComte of the Climate Prediction Center. Division Six, from Frederick County west to Pennsylvania north and Delaware east to the District of Columbia south, also saw its fifth driest July 1998 through June 1999.

Bear sighting near Rep Bartlett farm draws crowd
