Frederick County engineers closed Stevens Road Bridge east of Creagerstown after detecting deterioration at bridge bearings and an abutment. The one lane crossing over Hunting Creek averages 11 users daily and affects local farmers. options for repair or replacement will be presented to the county commissioners on Aug 21 as officials revisit long planned replacement funded in the 1990s.
