Antique cars roll through Thurmont on Great American Race
A steady stream of vintage autos including a 1919 Mercer Raceabout traveled Main Street Thurmont toward Norfolk as part of the Great American Race. In Hagerstown a 1929 Ford Model A Phaeton carried Connie Wilking in a cross country event, one of about 80 vintage cars in the 4,250 mile, 16 state endurance race offering 250000 in prizes.
