In an Ohio village, Tom C. Harbaugh ends his days in a poorhouse after a life once valued at about $20,000. His autograph album held letters from Mark Twain to Gov. Fuller and many Civil War generals. Once famed for sensational tales, he faded after speculation and illness left him penniless, returning yearly to Middletown for visits.
